The ©Urdu Internet Society®, is the extended form of ©Urdu Internet Council® which was founded with the aim to unite language base Internet communities and to develop latest Internet Layer with the Excellence. It facilitate to communicate problems, propose solutions, highlights achievements as well as to conduct surveys and publish statistical analysis and survey report and also help to coordinate with experts for policies development services. UISoc.Org is first Social Network of its kind and will proof a change for development in Social networking with excellence and as a model of good governance.

The ©Urdu Internet Society®, is supporting the WSIS agenda described for UN’s Internet Governance Forum (IGF) because of its theme that also provide a platform for open discussion dialogue between multi-stakeholder according to its mandated
as per paragraph 72 (f) of the Tunis Agenda:

UISoc has also initiated Internet Governance Forum for Pakistan with due approval (in last IGF Public Forum 2010) from Executive Coordinator of UN’s IGF, Mr MARKUS KUMMER. In addition to this UISoc/IGFPAK is working with International organizations to conduct awareness programs, workshops and conferences in Pakistan related to the agenda of WISIS for IGF especially for Information Security in the region. UISoc/IGFPAK has also actively working with UN GAID (Global Alliance for ICT & Development to achieve Millennium Development Goal along with the coordination of Pakistan Technology Board.

A Global TF Project Group was also formed with UN-GAID network for Global WorkGroup & Expert's Panel on "Technology Foresight for ICT and Development" TFID:

This unique and specialized kind of Social Network is formed by
M/s ©Urdu Internet Council® (UIC) to extend, same policies towards the Internet community - civil society and has given a mandate to achieve following (pro-active and productive) targets:

  1. To define First Layer of Language-Base Internet
  2. To offer a platform for the Participation of Urdu Community
    from all over the world.
  3. To conduct Reviews and Impact Analysis of existing Internet, ICT and education systems and policies.
  4. To arrange Experts Pool and their accessibility to the civil society members to obtain their services.
  5. To develop consensus based healthy and globally implementable Internet and ICT Policies.
  6. To arrange support funds for ICT R&D Projects, Schools and Study Projects.
  7. To arrange competitions, rewards and awards between Urdu Community Members.
  8. To conduct requirement base online and local trainings & awareness programs for the Urdu Internet community.
  9. To construct a heavy bridge to reduce Digital Divide between Urdu and the Languages of Developed Nations.
  10. To protect rights of Urdu Language community members.
    To develop a way of encouragement and support for the transformation of technology, books and courseware material into Urdu Language.
  11. To provide a source campaign for one Internet-PC to each student of Urdu Medium Education Level.
  12. To support to develop Clean and Safe Internet for all.
  13. To support the WSIS agenda described for UN’s Internet Governance Forum (IGF) establish according to its mandated as per paragraph 72 (f) of the Tunis Agenda.
  14. To participate in National & Global Policies Development process of International Organizations e.g. M/s ICANN, M/s UN/IGF, M/s UN/GAID, M/s UNESCO, M/s IGC-CS, M/s (ISC)2, M/s IETF/IESG and M/s ISOC for the interest of Internet user Communities (IC) and Business user Constituencies (BC) of Developing Economies (DgEc) & Developed Economies (DdEc).
  15. To keep the members up date with the latest development on the Internet Globe.

Why needed ©Urdu Internet Society®

Sure, you can—and there are plenty of very good work has been made in Urdu and for Urdu Language. However the basic understanding at the begning (the foundation level of Urdu Internet Society) is very important to mention i.e. "Urdu Speaking community members are not proud of represent themselves that they belongs to Urdu Language":
This is because of the following reasons:

  1. Very slow development (of this language) towards modern
    technologies is increasing the gap of digital divide day by day.
  2. Very slow transformation of technical knowledge in this language.
  3. Very little support from government (tends to a bias level behavior sometimes).
  4. Bias level division in Education System from K.G. to Master level degrees (e.g. Urdu & English Medium School System).
  5. Reduced Jobs opportunities if qualified through Urdu Medium Education System.

©Urdu Internet Society® is being formed to address all of such issues on the International level and to call for propsoals to resolve them issues. This forum will also provide frontend to conduct surveys and community concenses to finalize proposed models.
